Douglas Schwedland is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in sales, marketing, and business development. A graduate of Michigan State University with a BA in Business Administration (1993), Douglas has held leadership roles at Detroit Diesel Corporation, MTU Detroit Diesel, Tognum AG, and Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG.
At MTU Detroit Diesel, he served as Director of Business Development and Sales Administration, later becoming Regional Director for North America at Tognum America. His international experience includes a dual role as CEO of MTU Middle East FZE and Business Development Director for the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia, based in Dubai. He also served on the Board of Directors for Rolls-Royce Power Systems subsidiaries in Turkey and South Africa.
Douglas was CEO of EPIX, a joint venture between Weir and MTU focused on delivering complete power systems to the pressure pumping industry. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President for Sales & Marketing at MSHS Pacific Power Group.
Douglas is known for his strategic vision, team-building capabilities, and consistent delivery of results. Early in his career, he demonstrated a talent for cross-cultural collaboration, working with Volvo Penta in Sweden and spending a year at MTU in Germany. His passion for distribution networks led him to champion the integration of entrepreneurial agility with corporate strategy, driving transformation across sales and service ecosystems involving multiple manufacturers.
